My Greek name is Jocasta. The history behind my name is that it means "shining moon." It was the Queen of Thebes name that she was called by.
The laws that my city-state group came up with was seven of them.
1. Evan always has to bring the coloring supplies.
2. To always stay on topic.
3. We have to listen of the Archean( king ) of the week.
4. Always get our homework done.
5. We cannot wear a green shirt or we get sent to the Crete.
6. If I ( Raeley ) misses class than I have to bring in candy.
7. The Archean ( king ) gets to pick the next Archean for the following week.

This is an image of Megara compared to where all of the other city-states are.
The type of education that Megara had was that the boys were trained in arts and science and trained by their mothers at home until they were old enough at 7 to go to school. They were trained in many different levels. The girls stayed around the house and learned to cook, clean and manage a home.
|
The type of government that Megara had was a democratic government since they were very loyal and trustworthy to stick up for other tribes and make decisions.
|
The different social classes that Megara had was since it was democratic with everyone being free there were no main social classes at all.
|
The gods and goddesses that Megara worshiped were ones like Artemis, Apollo, Zeus and Hera.
|
The type of economy that Megara had was with lots of farming and fishing which was an advantage because of where they live by the water and land.
|
Daily life in Megara was very peaceful since they homered everyone to be free citizens with temples, schools, and theaters. with all the farming and fishing they had a surplus of food mostly. They enjoyed doing things like dancing and telling stories about the gods. Megara is a very loyal place to be.
This is the link that helped me with most of my research and also what shows what my city-state was like http://prezi.com/mqaawgp5l6dz/megara/ It demonstrates what usually goes on in Megara during the day in a great prentation.
